These trends exacerbate the need to support hybrid programming models within the same system. =0AIn this talk, we visit the dominant programming models in HPC systems including the MPI two-sided, the PGAS one-sided, and the accelerator-based models. We discuss how these programming models influence the application development strategy, for instance for maintaining data consistency, structuring communication, decomposing tasks and managing the data layout.
